The Blob – Schrecken ohne Namen

In dem Sciencefiction-Klassiker „The Blob“ aus dem Jahr 1958 bedroht eine aggressive Schleimmasse aus dem Weltall die Bewohner einer wohlgeordneten amerikanischen Kleinstadt.
Der Tanztheaterabend „The Blob – Schrecken ohne Namen“ setzt sich in klar abgegrenzten, abstrakten Bildern mit solch schleimgewordenen Ängsten auseinander. Das italienische Tanzensemble ESPZ und das Hamburger Trio NYX, bestehend aus zwei Musikern und einer Projektionskünstlerin, stehen bei dieser popkulturellen Nacherzählung auf der Bühne.

In the 1958 science-fiction movie „The Blob“ a growing amoeba-like alien from outer space is terrorizing a small Pennsylvanian community.
The dance-theatre piece „The Blob – horror without name“ is dealing with these slimy fears in abstract and compelling images. On stage the italian dance-company ESPZ and the Hamburg based Trio NYX, consisting of two musicians and a projection-artist who are creating this thrilling re-narration.
